Vivo has teased its big announcement for Mobile World Congress Shanghai – and it’s a fingerprint reader. Rumours have it that Vivo will be the first to debut an onscreen fingerprint reader have been flying since last week; and it looks like its only a matter of time.
The race is on with the major smartphone manufacturers rushing to be the first to announce the onscreen biometric solution. An earlier “leak” turned out to be hoax. With the video showing an app that only pretends to show an onscreen fingerprint reader.
Vivo itself has not confirmed that it will actually be debuting the technology. For all we know it might just be a regular fingerprint reader placed in an unusual place.
