As part of its new Freedom to Internet strategy, Digi has announced that its customers are now able to obtain Viu premium video streaming subscription for RM 5 per month. Not only that, they will also receive 5GB data to watch contents on Viu at the same time.
In other words, the new offering which is called Freedom 2 Viu allows customers to obtain Viu premium membership and a specific pool of data to consume Viu’s contents through a single monthly payment.
As a comparison, Viu’s standard premium membership is priced at RM 10 per month and users also need to purchase separate Video Freedom pass if they don’t want their Viu consumption to affect their general data pool.
To purchase the pass, users have to visit this particular section of Digi’s official website and press the sign-up button while being connected to Digi’s network. Do be careful though as your account will be immediately charged when the button is pressed.
Another thing to note is that the subscription is renewed automatically on monthly basis but users can cancel this through the settings section in Viu’s app or website.
Once users signed up to the service, they can utilize their Viu premium membership even they are not connected to Digi network. Additionally, they can also enjoy Viu on up to five different devices simultaneously.
Meanwhile, customers can still enjoy Viu even after they fully utilized the 5GB data allocation by using their main data pool or through other Internet connections. For more details, head on to Digi’s official website.
