It is now a common for a manufacturer to announce that it is going to launch a smartphone very soon. Some do it by releasing puzzles or subtle hints while some like honor Malaysia pretty much tell everyone that there’s a new smartphone coming into our market very soon.
Of course, honor didn’t reveal any details regarding the new device with the exception of a photo that was published over at its Facebook page:
While this was not stated in the post, the media release that was sent to us stated the new smartphone was apparently “a result of various strategic partnerships in the area of gaming, photography, and virtual reality,” which sounds like a reference to the honor 8 Pro which is also known in China as honor V9.
As you might able to recall from our previous coverage, honor 8 Pro’s packaging can be turned into a VR cardboard. At the same time, its rear camera also carries two 12-megapixels sensors with one being a monochrome while another is RGB.
Meanwhile, the media release also claimed that the upcoming honor smartphone will “deepen the divide” between affordable and high-end smartphones. Hence, we are not going to ignore the honor 9 as well which will be making its first ever public debut later this month.
