Earlier today, DirectD listed the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 on its online store, revealing the tablet’s local retail price. Well, we’ve just heard from Samsung on the official availability of the Tab S3 in Malaysia, and it will indeed go for RM2,999 on our shores; Samsung also revealed additional information on the tablet.
When DirectD listed the Galaxy Tab S3 for sale, it’s not clear if the tablet’s Keyboard Cover is included in the RM2,999 price tag. Unfortunately, Samsung confirmed that the keyboard isn’t bundled with the Tab S3. Instead, it’s available as a separate purchase for RM499; it is only available in Grey too.
What does come with the Galaxy Tab S3, however, is Samsung’s signature S Pen; it has a 0.7mm tip as well as support for over 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity, which should make it rather natural to write with. Of course, the S Pen also comes with a range of useful features, including the ability to capture screenshots, or even record GIFs from videos.
Aside from that, the Galaxy Tab S3 also comes with a 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 Super AMOLED display – with support for HDR videos – a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 6,000mAh battery.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will be available for purchase at Samsung Experience Stores throughout Malaysia as well as on Lazada and 11street from 1 June 2017 onwards. Available in two colours – Black and Silver – the Tab S3 retails at RM2,999.
