U Mobile recently renamed its Data Backpack free data roaming service to Roam-Onz. If you are on selected postpaid plans, namely the P70, P98, i90, i130, Ultimate Device 90, Ultimate Device 130, U Premium, or U Platinum postpaid plans, the telco will automatically give you up to 8GB of data roaming to use in selected countries.
U Mobile Roam-Onz offers free data roaming in 12 countries – Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. You can get 5GB of Roam-Onz quota a month for P70, i90, Ultimate Device 90 and U Premium plans, and 8GB a month for P98, i130, Ultimate Device 130 and U Platinum plans.
No subscription is required, simply activate international roaming before you travel, and you can enjoy free data roaming in these countries. Do note that you must manually connected to U Mobile’s preferred operator in the country you are travelling to.
