After a low-key first season, the Red Bull Coliseum e-sports event is back with a bang for its second season. This time around, it is a significantly affair, with participants from five countries throughout the region, and a prize pool of RM100,000.
While Season 1 of the Red Bull Coliseum featured three popular game titles, Season 2 adds two more for a total of five: Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, FIFA 17, Overwatch, and FIFA Online 3. The grand finals for each game to take place later this year.
On top of that, Red Bull Coliseum Season 2 will also see Red Bull Malaysia partner with various companies, including MSI (official laptop partner), Digi (official streaming partner), Logitech (official peripherals partner), and AirAsia, which will be responsible for regional travel packages for selected tournament participants.
The event is expected to draw over 3,500 gamers across all five games, with qualifiers to be done online and on-ground. Red Bull Malaysia will be making announcements for the qualifiers in the near future.
