Barely a week after its initial unveiling, MSI has now decided to reveal key specifications of its GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X graphics card. The company’s top of the line graphics card comes with plenty of features, which should make it perform significantly better compared to the reference Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti.

Design-wise, the GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X looks very similar to other Gaming X graphics cards. It comes fitted with MSI’s iconic black and red cooler shroud, along with the company’s new Twin Frozr VI cooling solution. In addition, the graphics card is also equipped with a backplate as well, to provide more efficient thermal performance, of course.

Speaking of performance, one rather interesting feature about MSI’s GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X is the fact that it comes with three clock speed presets. These are the Silent Mode, Gaming Mode, and OC Mode. In silent mode, the graphics card churns out modest clock speeds of 1480MHz (base) and 1582MHz (boost). Meanwhile, Gaming Mode bumps the base and boost clock speeds higher to 1544MHz and 1657MHz respectively.

Finally, the OC mode preset supercharges the clock speeds to 1569MHz (base) and 1683MHz (boost). Also worth mentioning is the fact that the GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X will draw power from dual 8-pin power connectors. MSI has mentioned that its Gaming App will also allow gamers to tweak the LED settings of the GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X.

Unfortunately, aside from revealing key details of the GTX 1080 Ti Gaming X, MSI did not mention anything regarding price and date of availability.
