There are millions of apps and games on the Google Play Store, so trying to find a paid app that has gone free is not a simple task. Fortunately, Google recently introduced a new Free App of the Week on Play Store. The new section can allow you to get your hands on the latest deal as soon as it becomes available.
This is not a brand new feature on the Play Store though. About two years ago, Google starting offering a similar “free app of the week” promotion on the Play Store however, it was hidden in the Family category of apps. This latest update puts the Free App of the Week section right at the front.
Sadly though, it looks like the new section is not available for us Malaysians just yet. It is not available on my Google Play account, but the featured app of the week, Card Wars – Adventure Time, is now listed as free for me; the usual price is RM12,99, so it sounds like a pretty good deal. As its name suggests, the deal will be available for an either week. It won’t always be games, so check back every week to see if the paid app you’ve been eyeing on is available for free.
