P. Ramlee is one of Malaysia’s most prolific moviemakers; and Google is honouring his achievements with a Google Doodle. The country specific Doodle also celebrates the legend’s 88th birthday.
The actor, director, writer, and musician made more than 60 films throughout his lifetime, many of which are now considered the classics of Malaysian cinema. That said, this is the first time that the P. Ramlee has been included in Google’s Doodle.
Google has also released concept sketches for the Doodle. Showing different ideas that the internal designers had while working on how to present the actor in a recognisable manner.
Google Malaysia had previously honoured other Malaysian personality like director Yasmin Ahmad and footballer Mokhtar Dahari with Google Doodles of their own.
