As if the R9s Valentine Red Edition is not limited enough, here comes yet another special version of OPPO R9s for our market. This time around, it bears the name of the company’s ambassador in Malaysia, Min Chen.
While the phone itself is no different from the standard R9s that company launched early last month, the extra items that OPPO has included into the R9s Min Chen Special Edition set made it slightly different from the company’s previous special edition phones.
Even though it does feature the similar red colorway as per R9s Valentine Red Edition, the back area of R9s Min Chen Special Edition is laser engraved with the artist’s signature just like what we’ve seen previously on F1s Ayda Jebat Edition. Not only that, the phone is pre-installed with several selfies taken by Min Chen herself and three alarm ringtone recorded by her as well in addition to three wallpapers that are exclusive to R9s Min Chen Special Edition smartphones.
Furthermore, the R9s Min Chen Special Edition boxset also includes a mini standee of the artist herself together with four postcards, and a phone cover featuring a caricature of Min Chen. Despite these extras, the R9s Min Chen Special Edition boxset has the same RM 1,798 price tag as per standard R9s and will be made released through OPPO Concept Stores throughout Malaysia as well as OPPO Malaysia’s own online store and Lazada Malaysia starting from 22 February 2017 onwards.
