Given its status as one of premier trade show for mobile industry, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) has always been the place for manufacturers to launch or showcase their new products. At the very least, some companies would just take advantage of the timing if they not able to be at the event themselves.
Motorola has recently joined the list of brands that will be having press event at Barcelona around the same time as MWC 2017. According to the press invite that Lenovo has sent to several medias throughout the world, the event is scheduled to take place on 26 February which is just one day before MWC 2017 opens its doors.
So, what could Lenovo unleash at its Motorola launch event? Current whispers within the rumour circle suggests that the successor to Moto G4 – fondly called Moto G5 – might be one of the candidate. Additionally, there is also the persisting rumors of Moto X’s comeback.
Nevertheless, this news only adds more excitement to MWC 2017 which will also see the launch of LG G6, Nokia-branded devices by HMD Global, and BlackBerry Mercury by TCL, as well as several new products from Huawei. There should be more to come if based on our past experiences – so, stay tuned.
