It looks like Uber will soon remove its email support and will be bringing everything to the app instead. This means that instead of having to open up your email app to type out a report to send to support@uber.com, all passengers and drivers have to do is load the feature within the Uber app itself.
Uber says that it will phase out the email address over the next three weeks starting with the U.S. first, and then globally. By putting everything in its main app, Uber says that it will allow for faster response time and thus increasing customer satisfaction. It also allows for automated process for common problems such as refunding the cancellation fee. Such method is also beneficial for countries such as India and Indonesia, where email adoption is rather low.
In addition to that, for those of you who are curious about your passenger rating, you may now check it out instantly in the Uber app. Just open the menu and tap on “Help”. Tap “Account”, select “I’d like to know my rating”, submit it, and Uber will show you your average trip rating. Previously, ratings were only available by request.
Hopefully by moving its entire support to its app, Uber can improve its overall customer service and of course, improve response time.
