In celebration of its first anniversary in Malaysia, ShopBack will be offering up to 100% cashback next week on the 22nd of February 2016. To make things even better, ShopBack will be working with many online retailers to offer even more discounts on that day.
While the 100% cashback sounds like a really good deal, only certain items will be eligible for it. In addition to that, the cashback amount ranges from 50% to 100%. Regardless, certain sites such as Qoo10 will be offering three times the normal amount of cashback, while Lazada will offer further discounts on certain items – this is valid only for ShopBack users, naturally. Other online retailers that will be joining this cashback promotion include Taobao, Zalora, Agoda, Booking.com, Groupon, and HappyFresh.
Update (22/2): The full list of offers has been revealed. Lazada is offering up to 10% cashback, while other retailers such as Groupon and Qoo100 will offer up to 8% and 15% cashback respectively. What makes ShopBack particularly interesting is the fact that it rewards its users with actual cash rather than some form of credit. Country Head of ShopBack Malaysia, Gil Carmo, mentioned that the process of getting the cashback is a “totally hassle-free process.” That is, after the cashback is redeemable after a set period of time.
