While Gigabyte has quite a number of laptops under its wing, not many of them were actually released in Malaysia. However, those that made their way into our market are actually high performance models including the P35 gaming laptop. Updated with new hardware from time to time, the latest iteration of the laptop is now available in Malaysia since earlier this month.
Built with a 15.6-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display, the P35 v5 gaming laptop is powered by Intel Core i7-6700HQ quad-cored, octa-thread processor which runs at a base clock speed of 2.6GHz and maxed out at 3.5GHz. Since it is a processor from the Skylake family, it is not surprising to see that Gigabyte has paired the processor with 8GB worth of DDR4 RAM.
Other than that, the laptop also contains 120GB solid state drive and 1TB 7200rpm hard drive together with Rivet Networks’ Killer Wireless-AC network card and pre-installed Windows 10. At the same time, users are able to choose either GeForce GTX 970M with 6GB GDDR5 or GTX 980M GPU with 8GB GDDR5 for their P35 v5 gaming laptop.
As for pricing, the laptop’s GPU is the main factor that set it apart as the GTX 970M model is listed at RM 7,999 while the variant with GTX 980M goes for RM 8,999. Gamers that are interested to obtain the new Gigabyte P35 v5 gaming laptop are able to do so through Tech Armory.
