U Mobile Game-Onz Offers Unlimited Data for PC Gaming

U Mobile has announced a new add-on package for prepaid customers, skewed towards those who enjoy PC gaming. Called Game-Onz, it allows customers to turn their prepaid plan into a portable WiFi hotspot to play select online games with unlimited data allocation.

Similar to its experiment with unlimited data on Waze earlier this year, the Game-Onz package promises zero worries about running out of data while playing your favourite games on Steam, Garena, and Playone Asia. It is primarily aimed at those who have weak WiFi or poor broadband connections at home. Since Game-Onz works when you turn your phone into a portable WiFi hotspot, the service allows gamers to play virtually anywhere, too.

Game-Onz offers unlimited data for the following games:

– Steam: Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Team Fortress 2
– Garena: League of Legends and FIFA Online 3
– Playone Asia: BlackShot and Echo of Soul

There are three subscription packages for Game-Onz, offering gamers the option of different price points. These packages also offer a specific amount of high-speed data, so they’re a good all-round solution if you’re a prepaid user who play games on the side. It should be noted that only two of the three packages offer unlimited data for gaming. The table below breaks it down:

In addition to Game-Onz, U Mobile also announced that both prepaid and postpaid customers can now purchase Steam Wallet codes via prepaid credits or be charged to their monthly postpaid bills.

Finally, those who subscribe on Game-Onz will also enjoy U Mobile’s Music-Onz for free, which offers unlimited music streaming from 19 partners without using their allocated data. The 19 partners are Spotify, JOOX, Tidal, KKBOX, Raku, and various radio stations. However, U Mobile has stated that unlimited data for Music-Onz is a limited time promotion.
