Grab Kickstarts The Holiday Season With Promos For Trips To Your Nearest Airport

The holiday season is upon us, a time when the need to get to the airport has never been greater. Grab is offering Malaysians a cheaper alternative to taking a cab – or owing your neighbours a favour. More importantly, this extends to more than just users in the Klang Valley.

For those heading to and from KLIA or KLIA2, Grab users will receive two RM10 discount codes for later use once they complete the ride; meaning that future rides anywhere Grab is present will be a lot cheaper. GrabCar is now present in Klang Valley, Kota Kinabalu, Melaka, Penang and Johor Bahru.

Eligible customers will receive the promotional codes within 48 hours of the trip; although that means that they cannot use the codes for the current ride. These codes are valid until 7 January, and can, if used carefully, be used to get home from KLIA. Provided you aren’t staying overseas for an extended holiday.

Those who are not in the Klang Valley are not left out of the holiday fun, as GrabCar has now expanded to Malacca, Kota Kinabalu, Johor Bahru, and Penang. To celebrate this latest expansion, all rides to and from the local airports in these states will receive a 50% discount (up to RM15).

The eligible airports are Penang International Airport, Senai International Airport, and KK International Airport. For Melaka, the discount will apply to trips to Melaka Sentral considering the huge amount of passenger traffic in the terminal. There are only 1,000 codes to be redeemed each day, but the promotion runs until 31 December.

Grab is offering Malaysians the cheapest way to get to their holidays started, especially for those who are outside the Klang Valley. It’s quite something else to get half off the fare to the airport, especially as these locations are especially popular for those of us who happen to enjoy traveling within the country.

For more information about the promotion, check out Grab’s official page.
