LG brought in the LG G5 and Stylus 2 Plus to Malaysia back in September 2016, with the help of local distributor Zitron. Now, it seems the company is ready to bring more LG smartphones to Malaysia, with the first being the LG X Power.
Announced back in June 2016, the LG X Power is one out of the four smartphones from LG’s X series – which are the X Power, X Mach, X Style, and X Max. LG’s X Power features a 5.3-inch screen with 720p resolution, and a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage onboard, complete with support for microSD card expansion up to 256GB.
In the camera department, the LG X Power is fitted with a 13MP sensor on the back while the front is equipped with an 5MP camera with LED flash. Out of the box, the device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is powered by a 4,100mAh battery. According to LG, the X Power also features fast battery charging to allow it to charge at twice the normal speed.
Those looking for a mid-range device could consider the LG X Power as it is currently listed on DirectD for the price of RM999 (inclusive of GST). It is available in two colour options – Gold and Black, and it comes with a one-year official warranty covered by LG Malaysia.
