First discovered back in September, it has come to our attention that the 2016 edition of HP Omen gaming laptop is finally available through HP Malaysia’s online store. Also available on the store is the equally new HP Omen gaming desktop.
True to our prediction, only the 15-inch model is available through the store although the laptop still features carbon fiber-like finish as per its 17-inch brother. Built with a full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS panel, the gaming laptop is also equipped with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ, and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M with 4GB GDDR5 VRAM.
Additionally, the 15-inch Omen gaming laptop also comes with 8GB DDR4-2133 RAM, 1TB 7200rpm SATA hard drive, and 128GB SATA solid state drive. Completing the laptop’s hardware package are Bang & Olufsen stereo speakers, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi by Intel, and 3-cell 61.5 Whr battery.
As for the HP Omen gaming desktop, it carries an Intel Core i7-6700K processor alongside an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 graphics card with 2GB GDDR5 VRAM. It also features 16GB DDR4-2133 system RAM, and 2TB 7200rpm SATA hard drive alongside a SuperMulti DVD burner.
Featuring brushed metal finish and customizable LED lights, the Omen desktop also comes with 500W power supply. However, the Malaysian variant does not come with liquid cooling solution as per some of the Omen desktops that are released in United States.
In terms of pricing, the 15-inch Omen gaming desktop is listed at RM 4,499 while the Omen gaming desktop goes for RM 5,599. Do note that Omen gaming desktop does not include a monitor – you need to purchase that separately.
