With Celcom and Digi unveiling their new plans and revamping existing plans, Maxis has decided to quietly revamp its SurfMore 50 and SurfMore 75 postpaid plans with additional data quota and free data for TVNow streaming.
Prior to the change, Maxis’ SurfMore 75 plan used to have 5GB of data for a monthly commitment fee of RM75. Users who are currently on this plan should be getting an additional 2GB monthly from now on.
Other than that, Maxis also upgraded its SurfMore 50 plan. Originally, the plan was revamped to offer 3GB of mobile data for a price of RM50/month. Now, the company has increased the plan’s data quota to 5GB with the addition of 2GB extra data for TVNow streaming.
The free 2GB data for TVNow streaming allows users to stream video content from iflix, Viu, Erosnow, Hopster, as well as Tonton.
Customers should take note that SurfMore 50 and 75 have been discontinued and this upgrade will be for existing Maxis customers who are already on these plans. The data upgrade is free, automatic, and permanent so users should be receiving an SMS regarding the update sometime soon.
