While mobile devices and the internet is a great platform to help keep children entertained and to allow them to learn more, the internet can be a scary place filled with threats, scams and such. U Mobile is partnering with Kakatu and Kidslox parental control apps that allow parents to monitor, restrict and manage what their children do on their mobile devices.
U Mobile is offering a free 30-day trial for both apps for all of its subscribers. With Kakatu and Kidslox, not only can parents limit the screen time, and allow or block apps, there are extensive parental control tools too such as check kids’ usage history, block incoming calls for unknown number, check kids’ location, and more.
Kakatu is available for Android devices only and offers basic function for free. You can try out the Premium Plan free for 30 days with this offer, after that, subscription plans starting from RM4.49 a month. Each Kakatu account allows you to control up to 3 devices.
As for Kidslox, the app is available on Android, as well as iOS. The basic functions are offered for free but if you are a U Mobile subscriber, you can get a free 30-day trial on the premium plan – just ensure you are connected to U Mobile’s network when you set up your Kidslox account for the first time. After the trial period, Kidslox subscription plans starts from RM8.99 a month. Kidslox allow parents to control unlimited number of devices with a single account.
