As per our previous report, Sony Mobile will be launching the brand new Xperia XZ in Malaysia tomorrow. Originally unveiled at IFA 2016, those who planning to get their hands on the new smartphone don’t have to wait long to secure their unit as Sony Malaysia will be taking pre-order for the device starting from tomorrow itself.
To take place at 11 Street, this was confirmed through an announcement earlier this week on Sony Mobile Malaysia’s Facebook page. It also stated that each pre-order customers will receive a SanDisk 64GB USB Type-C OTG flash drive and Sony Bluetooth Headset but the pricing of the device was not mentioned in the announcement.
As it turns out, the pre-order for Xperia XZ will also take place at certain physical outlets as well after we stumbled upon the pre-order poster shown above in Sony Center at The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur. When asked about the pricing, the staff at the outlet asked us to refer to the Sony Store in Suria KLCC or The Curve for further information.
After contacting Sony Store Suria KLCC, we were told that the Xperia XZ will costs RM 2,699 and the store will start taking pre-order from customers starting from 6pm. However, these were the only information that the store is able reveal to us regarding the arrival of Xperia XZ in Malaysia.
As exciting as the pricing information might be, some might be rather intrigued by it given the smartphone’s specifications and features. Well then, let’s see how accurate the information will be once Xperia XZ made its official debut in Malaysia tomorrow.
