Xiaomi Launches The Xiaomi Mi Max In Malaysia For RM999

After several teasers of the Mi Max coming to Malaysia, Xiaomi has finally launched its largest smartphone – the Xiaomi Mi Max. Crossing into the phablet category, the Mi Max features a huge 6.44-inch display with a 7.5mm thick metal body.

On the inside, the Xiaomi Mi Max runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the phone has 32GB of internal memory with support for expansion up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. On the front, the Mi Max is packed with a 5MP camera whereas the back is fitted with a 16MP shooter complete with phase detection auto focus.

Connectivity wise, the Xiaomi Mi Max features Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v4.2, and 4G dual-hybrid SIM. The smartphone weighs 203g and is powered by a generous 4,850mAh battery. Also, the Mi Max is packed with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

The Xiaomi Max will be available from Malaysian telco partners, including Maxis, Digi, Celcom, and YES. No word yet on whether U Mobile will offer the Xiaomi Mi Max. Thorus and Lazada will also be the official distributors for the smartphone.

The Xiaomi Mi Max is available in two colours – gold and silver. The smartphone will retail for the price of RM999 starting this 3rd of September.
