Just this morning, honor Malaysia has sent out invites to the honor 8‘s launch event. Now, it appears several retailers have jumped the gun: online listings for the upcoming flagship smartphone have started surfacing. If these listings are accurate, there will be two variants of the honor 8 in Malaysia.
These two variants of the honor 8 differ in only one thing: internal storage. The more affordable model, which is being listed for RM1,699, has 32GB of internal storage; it is available in Midnight Black and Pearl White. The slighty costlier RM1,899 model, on the other hand, has 64GB of storage. This particular variant comes in two different colours: Sapphire Blue and Sunrise Gold.
Curiously, those who are keen can actually start placing their pre-order now from these retailers. However, there are a couple of inconsistencies: these two listings have different shipping dates (8 September and 10 September), not to mention the fact that one retailer offers freebies – supposedly worth RM499 – along with the pre-order while another does not.
Regardless, it’s worth noting that these prices do not come directly from honor Malaysia, so there’s always a chance these listings are not accurate. However, these listings also show that the honor 8 comes with official warranty; one retailer even explicitly state that the pre-order is for an “original honor Malaysia” unit of the honor 8.
