Sony Interactive Entertainment will not be increasing the PlayStation Plus subscription for those in Asia. The clarification comes after news of a price increase affecting American PS Plus subscribers appeared on the US PlayStation Blog.
At the moment, Americans are facing a potential $10 (about RM40) price increase in the annual subscription fee for a PlayStation Plus account. Despite this, SIE Japan has provided us with a comment saying that there are no plans for a price change in Asia at this time.
Malaysian PlayStation owners will be able to breathe a sigh of relief; considering that the planned US price hike doesn’t come with any additional benefits. Naturally, there were concerns that the increase would also affect the rest of the world.
