To mark a successful year in Malaysia, popular cashback site Shopback has introduced an Android and iOS app that promises to make it easier than ever to get cashback for your online purchases.

Since its entry into the Malaysian market in February 2015, Shopback has gained plenty of traction among savvy Malaysian consumers. Its monthly user base has spiked to over 300,000 since its first month where it had only about 5,000, and from an already encouraging RM475,000 in sales processed in its first month, the company recorded over RM9 million in sales referrals to popular e-commerce sites such as Lazada, Agoda, Booking.com, Zalora and plenty more.

Starting tomorrow, Shopback users can download and install the new Shopback app, designed to be familiar in look and feel to the web version. There’s a new addition to allow users to sort its list of merchants (which has exceeded 500) to those which offer the most cashback, or those that are trending. Beyond that, it’s the same experience you’ll get when using Shopback on a web browser.

As an added bonus, those who make their first purchase on Shopback via the app between 19-21 July will receive an additional RM5 cashback credited to their accounts. Also, 11 selected e-tailers will also be giving away upsized cashback, RM10 deals, vouchers between RM5-RM20 in value, as well as promo codes worth up to 40% off.

In future, Shopback also has plans to offer exclusive app-only deals, as well as notifications sent to your phone when there are upsized cashback, coupons, and other promotions.
