Most football fans should already aware that the UEFA European Championship will make a return once again this coming June. As the exclusive broadcaster for the well-known football competition in Malaysia, the satellite pay TV provider has committed to bring Euro 2016 to fans through multiple platforms including the Astro on The Go (AoTG) online streaming service.

According to Astro, all of its Sports Pack subscribers will be able to catch Euro 2016 matches – all 51 of them – using the online streaming service whether through Android or iOS apps as well as selected web browsers without additional charges. The same benefit will also be extended to other Astro customers as long as they add Sports Pack into their subscription before 30 April 2016.

As for stand-alone AoTG subscribers (yes, they do exist), they will have the option to catch Euro 2016 through their devices via a special Sports Pass that will be available starting from 1 May onwards. Priced at RM 104.95 inclusive of GST, the Sports Pass will also provide such subscribers with access to Astro’s coverage of the Rio 2016 Olympics.

If they prefer to choose individual matches instead, they are able to do so for RM 6 per match. At the same time, there will also be 12 selected Euro 2016 matches that can be viewed for free by any Astro and NJOI customers on AoTG via Astro Arena.

Meanwhile, Astro will be providing second screen experiences through its Stadium Astro mobile apps very soon. They include real time notifications, match highlights in multiple angles, and statistics. However, the company is not ready to show them at the moment though which means we will be hearing again from Astro as we get closer to Euro 2016.
