Nova Launcher has always been the go to app for customising any Android device’s home screen. It doesn’t matter if it’s a smartphone or a tablet, Nova Launcher works on any device, and it offers tons of customisation options. In conjunction with the holiday season, TeslaCoil has decided to open up a limited time sale for the Nova Launcher Prime at just RM1.
The Prime version of Nova Launcher brings additional features like gestures, unread counts, hiding apps, icon swipes, and more scroll effects. Gestures allow users to swipe, pinch or double tap the home screen to open favourite apps. Unread counts (using the TeslaUnread plugin) will also appear on top of icons to remind users of unchecked notifications or messages. Nova Launcher Prime will also let you hide apps, and perform icon swipes to either launch an app, or open up the folder.
Personally, I’ve used Nova Launcher to change some parts of Android that I normally can’t do. I’ve managed to enable double tap to wake on a phone that did not have the feature. For the user who easily gets tired of the same old homescreen, Nova Launcher would be good to change things up a little – especially for those who wants a taste of Lollipop or Marshmallow on their Kit-Kat devices.
Also, Google did reduce the minimum price for apps in the Malaysian Play Store to RM1. For that price, the Nova Launcher Prime seems to be a really good deal for normal and experienced users alike.
