We’re not entirely sure what is going on with TM Unifi and its Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront PlayStation 4 bundle deal. The broadband provider open pre-orders for the bundle at 3pm on Tuesday, but appears to have replaced the page with another countdown.
As far as we can tell, Unifi only has an extremely limited number of PS4s available for pre-order, and is rationing them out through a limited time pre-order. The method is reminiscent of Xiaomi’s flash sale method of selling smartphones, although we have to admit that it isn’t an entirely terrible idea.
Of course, we still genuinely has no idea about what is going on. Unifi has not said anything about the pre-order.
Still, the pre-order page is counting down the time until 3pm on 7 December, when the pre-order will be opened again. As we pointed out before, the bundle is only available for Unifi Advance subscribers. Naturally, it is not too late to sign up for a Unifi Advance line to qualify for the pre-order deal.
Unifi will be selling the Limited Edition Star Wars Battlefront bundle for RM1849. There should also be an offer for a standard PS4 for RM1449, although this was only revealed through TM’s twitter page.
