Xiaomi has an event tomorrow to launch several new products, including a new smartphone, a tablet and something hidden in a box. Many have speculated that the smartphone will be the Redmi Note 2 Pro, but the company has now confirmed that it will be the Redmi Note 3 instead.

The Redmi Note 3 supposedly features similar specifications as the Redmi Note 2. The device has a 5.5-inch full HD display, and runs on a MediaTek Helio X10 2.0GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It also has 16GB of internal storage, as well as support for microSD card expansion. In the camera department, it has a 13MP rear shooter with a 5MP front-facing camera.

What sets the Redmi Note 2 and the Redmi Note 3 apart is that the latter has a metal body with a fingerprint sensor on the back. Other than that, the device also has a dual-tone LED flash. The device will come in three colours – Gunmetal Grey, Silver, and Gold.

In addition, there are two more products that will be unveiled at the event. First, it could be a metal version of the Mi Pad. As for the other product, the poster only shows a girl holding a box with the words “even girls can lift it.” What could it be? We’ll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
