U Mobile has announced that it will be giving away mystery gifts to the first 300 people to buy the new iPhone 6s or 6s Plus from it; but we have heard that some 50 smartphones will be included among the number. There is no information about what these smartphones will be, and your guess is as good as ours.
The catch here is that U Mobile is limiting the gifts to the first 300 people who buy the new iPhone and install the MyUMobile app from the Appstore. U Mobile is requiring each buyer to unbox and activate their new phones at the launch venue, and this will likely end up with the app being installed at the same time. The gifts will be distributed by way of lucky draw, and each buyer will only be allowed one entry.
We are guessing that the smartphones will be iPhones of some sort, if only because Apple would not be happy if other brands were intruding on its big day. Whether these are the new iPhones is still unknown, but we will be at the location to find out later tonight.
