The Huawei P8 Lite is now officially available in Malaysia for a retail price of RM899, but if you sign up for a contract with redONE, you can get it from as low as RM0.
Like its other device bundles, redONE is offering the P8 Lite with its RedPlan 8 and 5GB of add-on data, totalling to RM88 a month – RM8 + RM80.
redONE’s phone bundles are a little different compared to what the rest of the telcos are doing. You will need to pay an upfront payment of device’s retail price, and redONE will give you back rebates every month for your entire tenure – RM35 x 12 or RM35 x 24 months. This means that instead of RM88, you pay only RM53 a month for your entire contract period.
The device price will work out to RM479 for 12 months contract, and RM0 for 24 months contract – the final month rebate is RM59.
The Huawei P8 Lite was launched in Malaysia just two weeks ago, along with the Huawei P8 and Huawei TalkBand B2. It features a 5” 720p display and is powered by a Kirin 620 octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB via microSD). Other specs include 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 2200mAh battery, LTE connectivity, dual SIM support, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Emoticon UI 3.1 from Huawei.
