If you are living in Kelantan and have been waiting for TM’s UniFi service to be made available at your area, the wait is almost over. Provided that you are in Kota Bharu town area, Kubang Kerian, and Pengkalan Chepa.
The report stated that the high-speed broadband service might be made available in these areas as early as August according to TM’s General Manager for Kelantan, Ab Rashid Che Othman. He also stated that TM expect to have 5,000 UniFi customers from these areas by March next year.
Interestingly, Ab Rashid apparently has stated that TM would not provide Streamyx in areas that are covered by UniFi. However, TM will provide UniFi service to areas that already have Streamyx at the moment if there are demands.
This is not the first time that we heard regarding the availability of UniFi in Kelantan though since similar statement has been made back in 2013. So, let’s see if it finally becomes a reality this time around.
