Alongside the three new Liquid smartphones, Acer Malaysia also took the opportunity to officially several new models which are part of the company’s newly refreshed Aspire E Series laptops. For those who are not familiar with it, Aspire E Series laptops are designed for entry level market and this year’s refreshed models were initially announced at the company’s recent global media event in New York which also saw the launch of Switch 10 E, Liquid X2 smartphone, new generation of Leap wearables, and Predator gaming products.
Available in 14 and 15 inch models, one of the most noticeable feature on the new 2015 Aspire E Series laptops comes in the form of textured pattern that not only present on their cover but was also extended to their underside with another set of textured pattern is also applied on their keyboard area.
Additionally, Acer has also decided to paint the keyboard area and display’s bezel on these laptop with matching colours which further highlight the effort by the company to enhance the aesthetic look of these new 2015 Aspire E Series laptops. For starters, these laptops will be released in Charcoal Grey, Cotton White, and Rosewood Red with other colour to follow soon.
At the same time, the 2015 Acer E Series laptops are also equipped with 5th generation Intel Core processors although these are not the first in the family to feature the new chip though as we did stumbled into a few of them earlier this year. GPU-wise, the 14-inch models come standard with NVIDIA GeForce 920M while the 15-inch variants carry NVIDIA GeForce 940M with all of them are accompanied by dedicated video RAM of 2GB DDR3.
As you can see, it is not a GTX-class GPU though which means users might need to manage their expectations when it comes to the GPU’s ability. Also new to the 2015 Aspire E Series laptops is the implementation of Acer BluelightShield modes on their display that apparently cuts down blue-light emission and subsequently helps to reduce the strain on user’s eyes.
