ASUS ROG G20

Apart from the five new ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) laptops that are coming to local retailers as we speak, ASUS Malaysia’s latest catalogue has also revealed yet another ROG product for our market.  That said product is the ASUS ROG G20 Compact Gaming Desktop PC which was originally revealed to the world almost a year ago at Computex 2014.

If you wondering why the product looked rather familiar, that’s because the ROG G20 was launched at Computex 2014 alongside the ROG GR8 which was released in Malaysia last November. However, the G20 has much larger physique that the GR8 (as shown below) and feature different set of hardware.

Available in two variants, consumers are able to choose whether to equip their G20 with either AMD FX-770K or Intel Core i7-4790 processor. The AMD-based model carries an AMD Radeon R9 255 and SuperMulti DVD RW drive with it while the Intel-based model is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 and Blu-Ray Disc Writer drive.

Both model also comes with 8GB of system RAM, 2GB DDR3 video RAM, and 1TB 7200rpm hybrid hard drive with 8GB SSD as its cache drive. In terms of pricing, it is quite hefty though as the AMD-based variant costs RM 3,999 while the Intel-based model goes for RM 5,499.

If you planning to get your hands on one of these ROG G20 PCs, do note that they don’t come together with a monitor. Hence, you need to already own an existing monitor or add it into your shopping list alongside the ROG G20.
