On top of new smartphones – Xiaomi Redmi 2A and a pink version of Mi Note, new smart scale, and a power strip, Xiaomi also unveiled a new cheaper variant of the Mi 4 with 2GB of RAM. On top of that, the company also reduced the price of its Mi 4 in China by 200 Yuan.
The “new” Mi 4 is basically the same as the existing Xiaomi Mi 4 however, instead of 3GB of RAM, this new variant only has 2GB RAM. It still features the same goodness as the original Mi 4 like a 5″ Full HD JDI display and a steel frame to give it a more sturdy look and feel. On the insides, the Mi 4 is powered by a Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz processor and has 16GB of internal storage on board.
There’s also a 13MP Sony IMX 214 camera at the back, paired with a 8MP front-facing camera. Other specs include 3080mAh battery with rapid charge, LTE connectivity, Infrared, and runs on MIUI 6 based on Android Kit Kat.
The Xiaomi Mi 4 with 2GB of RAM retails at 1,699 Yuan (about RM1,015), just 100 Yuan cheaper than the original Mi 4 that now retails at 1,799 Yuan (about RM1,075). Sadly though, the Xiaomi Mi 4 will not be launched in Malaysia, so keep our fingers crossed that Xiaomi will bring the Mi Note in soon because the pink version looks very attractive!
