As promised, ASUS today has launched its brand new Transformer Book Chi series in Malaysia just moments ago. However, the company has decided to release only Transformer Book T300 Chi into the market at the moment.
Available immediately, the T300 Chi’s initial variant for Malaysia is powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Core M-5Y71 dual-core quad-threading processor and carries 4GB of RAM as well as a 128GB solid state drive. The 1.43kg device is also equipped with a 13.3-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS display.
Being a 2-in-1 convertible device, this means that users are able to use the T300 Chi just like a normal laptop through its magnetic docking Bluetooth keyboard or as a tablet by detaching the display portion of the device from the keyboard. In terms of pricing, this particular variant of T300 Chi is priced at RM 3,199.
Meanwhile, ASUS Malaysia didn’t mention if the company will be offering the T300 Chi model with WQHD (2560 x 1440) 235ppi IPS display panel in Malaysia but we will get in touch with them shortly to verify this. UPDATE (447PM): ASUS Malaysia has also confirmed that the WQHD+ version of Transformer Book T300 Chi is expected to be available in our market within one or two months after the launch today. However, the price will only be revealed later on as we get closer to its release day.
