Lenovo Malaysia has quietly launched a promotion which offers up to RM100 rebate when you purchase selected Lenovo product. Interestingly, the list of eligible devices for this promotion also include the new Lenovo Yoga 3 multimode laptop that is equipped with the latest fifth generation Intel Core processor. Announced back at CES 2015, this Yoga laptop is the more affordable alternative to the Yoga 3 Pro.
The Lenovo Yoga 3 that is eligible for this promotion is the 14-inch variant with an Intel Core i5-5200U processor that is clocked at 2.2GHz paired with 8GB of RAM. It also has a 14-inch FHD IPS touch display that is fitted into a 13-inch chassis, giving it greater portability than other 14-inch laptops. Other than that, it also has a hybrid 500GB SSHD.
This 14-inch Yoga 3 retails at RM2,799 and comes with a 3-year McAfee Internet Security subscription that is worth RM99 and an RM100 rebate voucher if you purchase it before the 31st of March 2015.
We have been told by Lenovo Malaysia that the 11-inch Yoga 3 have also been made available in Malaysia. It has a smaller 11.6-inch FHD touch display and a Core M processor. Both the 11-inch and 14-inch Yoga 3 laptops have actually been made available in Malaysia since last month, although we can’t seem to find the 11-inch sold anywhere online. Unfortunately, there is no indication that the Core i7 model will make it to Malaysia, which is a little disappointing.
