U Mobile iPhone 6 ROI 2

Are you excited to see what U Mobile has got to offer for its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch happening next week? We’ve received some information that might make you even more excited. According to reliable sources, the telco will be offering an in-house financing plan that lets users purchase a smartphone from the telco with a credit loan, without the need of a credit card.

Called U MicroCredit, it is the first device financing program offered by a local telco. Currently, the only way to purchase a smartphone with an instalment plan is by using a credit card. U Mobile’s MicroCredit however, does not require one, so if you want a new smartphone but don’t have enough cash to pay for it, you can apply for a loan from U Mobile.

Details like interest rate and repayment period were not provided, but according to our sources, U Mobile promises low rates, fast approval (2 hours), flexible repayment, and you can even apply for it online. All you need is a credit card, proof of income and two referees. Just make sure you fulfil the requirements.

Our sources did not mention anything about the type of loans provided, but according to MalaysianWireless, there will be three options to choose from – the lowest monthly repayment is RM98 for 30 months.

MalaysianWireless also says that U Mobile will be launching this U MicroCredit together with the launch of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus launch on 17 March 2015, and will be available for both postpaid and prepaid subscribers.

UMC RM98

Finally, in case you are wondering, U Mobile will be offering the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus based on their old price. Just three days ago Apple increased the price of its iPhones in Malaysia by up to RM200, so if you do not want to pay that extra money, U Mobile says that they will stick to the old price but only while stocks last.
