The Xiaomi Mi Pad has been in Malaysia for quite some time now but there’s one problem – it’s only available for sale (officially) on Xiaomi Malaysia’s website. This means that those who wish to get a look and feel of the tablet first before paying RM799 for it are not able to do so. ESC ICT just announced that they are now an authorised distributor for the Mi Pad in Malaysia, which means that for the first time, you can officially buy the Xiaomi Mi Pad in a physical store.

ECS ICT Berhad has over 5000 resellers nationwide. As the authorised distributor of Xiaomi’s 7.9” tablet, the Mi Pad it means that local IT and mobile device resellers will now be able to sell the Mi Pad tablets at their respective stores nationwide. Don’t want to wait for delivery or for Xiaomi Malaysia to restock the Mi Pad on their website? Visit your local mobile and IT reseller to see if they have one for sale.

“Xiaomi has quickly risen the ranks to become a global household brand within the mobility products sector. ECS is not only proud to partner an emerging brand like Xiaomi, but also to be its robust on-the-ground presence through our reseller network numbering more than 5,000-strong nationwide.” – Mr. Soong Jan Hsung, CEO of ECS ICT Berhad.

Xiaomi is only offering the white 16GB variant of the Xiaomi Mi Pad in Malaysia, with a microSD slot that supports storage cards of up to 128GB. The Mi Pad is retailing for RM799.
