New Uber users can enter the promo code “MYUBERLOWYAT” to redeem their free rides. The code only needs to be entered once, and only applies to trips within the Klang Valley.
Uber has been very quiet lately, and some people may still be under the impression that it has been banned in the country. That isn’t exactly the case, as the service had already agreed to comply with SPAD directives and has been operating freely in Malaysia ever since.
So how far would this promo code cover in a journey? According to Uber’s fare estimates, a RM30 Uber ride will cover the distance from Publika to Plaza Damansara, or Bukit Bintang to Mid Valley City; which is a pretty good deal considering how much traffic is usually involved in getting to those places.
