U Mobile recently introduced a new app called U Mobile Surprise, an app filled with different surprises everyday. Whether it’s a video, famous quote, comic strip or a cool deal, U Mobile will give you different surprises based on your mood and location.
Available for free, the app is open for all including non U Mobile Subscribers. You can easily find deals near you in the “Where are you” tab, or tell the app how you feel and it will give you random surprises like quotes, jokes, videos and such. So if you’re feeling a little sad or angry, check for some meaningful quotes or even some funny comic strips to turn your frown upside down. If you don’t know what to tap on, there’s a “Wheel of Fortune” spinner that will randomly select any feature within the app.
In addition to that, there’s also a “Switch to U Mobile” feature that will help you port over to the telco via MNP (Mobile Number Portability). Purchase a U Mobile prepaid pack (yes, your line will be converted to prepaid), key in your details and submit. After that, you can check the status of your application right from the app itself. Should you need to visit a physical store for clarification, there’s also a Store Locator on board.
The app is available for free for Android users on the Google Play Store.
