The Asus ZenPad 7.0.
It looks like the LG G4 isn’t the only interesting device that appeared in SIRIM’s database. We have also spotted not one, but two 7-inch Asus ZenPad tablets in the database. These two devices are the Asus ZenPad 7.0 and the lower-end Asus ZenPad C 7.0.
In terms of specification, the ZenPad 7.0 is equipped with a 7-inch 1280 x 800 display, an Intel Atom x3-C3230 64-bit quad-core processor paired with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage which is expandable with a microSD up to 128GB, and a 13Wh battery that can supposedly provide eight hours of battery life.
As the lower-end model, it can be assumed that the ZenPad C 7.0 will be a more affordable variant of the ZenPad 7.0. That being said, the ZenPad C 7.0 isn’t that much different in terms of hardware. The only differences are a lower resolution 7-inch 1024 x 600 display, 1GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 64GB (instead of 128GB). It is also slightly smaller and lighter than the ZenPad 7.0.
Interestingly, while both tablets support 3G connectivity, only the ZenPad C 7.0 has a dual-SIM slot. It’s a little odd as to why the higher-end ZenPad 7.0 doesn’t have this feature.

It looks like Asus Malaysia’s plan to bring in the ZenPad tablets to Malaysia in July is on track, although it’s a little disappointing to not see the higher-end ZenPad S 8.0 in SIRIM’s database yet. Hopefully we’ll hear more from the company once July is here.
