Update 8/6/2015: The invitation is in! The launch is happening this Thursday, 11 June 2015. Sony also confirmed that they will be launching the Xperia C4, M4 Aqua and a “long-awaited Xperia flagship device”.
If you’ve been waiting for Sony to launch more of its devices in Malaysia, your wait might be over soon. Sony Malaysia recently teases three new devices on its website – could it be the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia M4 Aqua and the newly announced Xperia C4?
The teaser image only shows the silhouette of three devices, two smartphones and one tablet. If you are waiting for the Xperia Z4 flagship smartphone, you might be in for a disappointment. A quick check on the company’s mobile site – Sony Mobile, lists the Xperia Z4 Tablet, M4 Aqua and C4 as “Coming soon”, while the Xperia Z4 is nowhere to be found.

The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet was announced in MWC 2015 earlier this year. It’s a full-sized tablet, featuring a 10” 2K display , and just like the Xperia Z series smartphones, it has a water and dust resistant rating of IP65/68. The tablet is powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 with 3GB of RAM, has 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card, and features a 8MP rear shooter accompanied with a 5.1MP camera at the front with wide-angle lens.
Xperia M4 Aqua
The Xperia M4 Aqua was also announced during MWC 2015. It is an upper mid-range Android smartphone that looks remarkably similar to the Xperia Z3. It features a 5.2” HD display, and is powered by a Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Other specs include 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 2400mAh battery, LTE connectivity, and as its name suggests, it is also water and dust resistance.
Xperia C4
Last but not least, the Xperia C4 was announced just about 2 weeks ago. The Xperia C series is Sony’s range of PROselfie smartphone that is designed for those who love to take self-portraits wherever they go. Specs wise, the Xperia C4 is another upper mid-range phablet, featuring a 5.5” Full HD display, and is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Other specs include 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, LTE connectivity, 2600mAh battery, and like the other two devices mentioned before, it runs on Android 5.0 out of the box.
