Want to get the new MacBook? It is now available for purchase on Apple Malaysia’s Online Store from RM4,769, but don’t be too excited yet though, it will only be available to ship in 3 to 4 weeks.
When the new MacBook was first announced last month, it was almost immediately listed on Apple Malaysia’s Online Store though, it was still “pending regulatory approval”. The device is officially available now and no thanks to GST, it is also more expensive than the price listed last month (from RM4,499).
The price before GST implementation
Get the 256GB storage option with 1.1GHz dual-core Intel M processor variant at RM4,769, or the higher end 512GB storage with 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Core M processor variant at RM5,829. These prices are inclusive of the 6% GST that became official just 10 days ago.
Apple Malaysia Online Store is offering the new MacBook in all three colour options – silver, gold or space grey. As mentioned before, it will take 3-4 weeks to ship, and possibly another day or two before it reaches your doorstep.
Price of Apple MacBook in Malaysia with 6% GST
The Apple MacBook is a breathtakingly thin MacBook that weighs just 900 grams. It packs a 12” Retina 2304 x 1440 display in a panel that is only 0.88mm thick, making it the thinnest Mac display ever made.
Don’t be deceive by how thin and light it is though, the inside of the MacBook is packed with a battery that Apple claims to give 9 hours of web browsing or 10 hours of iTunes movie playback. Other notable features on the new MacBook is its new USB-C port, an all-in-one port for VGA, DisplayPort, HDMI and Power, and a new Force Touch trackpad.
