Officially announced in CES 2015 earlier this year, the ASUS Transformer Book Chi series is the latest line-up of Windows 8.1 2-in-1 PC from the Taiwanese company. Available in three different models, we have just learned that ASUS Malaysia will be launching the series in our market later this month.
Judging from the appearance of the Intel Core M logo on the media invite (shown below), the model that will be launched at the event will most probably the Transformer Book T300 Chi which is the biggest model in the family due to its 12.5-inch IPS display. It is not known at the moment if ASUS will be offering the T90 Chi and T100 Chi in our market but given popularity of the original Transformer Book T100 in Malaysia, there is no reason for ASUS not to release them here.
Being a 2-in-1 device, each devices in the Transformer Book Chi series come with their own Bluetooth keyboard dock which allows users to utilize the device just like a normal laptop. The original announcement at CES 2015 stated that the pricing of Transformer Book Chi series ranges from USD 299 to USD 799, so let’s see how far different the pricing will be once the series is launched in Malaysia.
