If you want to get your hands on one of the slimmest smartphone in the world, the Oppo R5, then you’re in luck because Storekini has just opened up its preorders for the device. Retailing at RM1,598, the Oppo R5 preorder is available immediately and will run till 10 December 2014, and if you’re among the first 3,000 customers to make your preorder, you will also get freebies worth over RM300.

Announced just 3 weeks back, the Oppo R5 measures at only 4.85mm thin and claims to be the world’s slimmest smartphone. In fact, it’s so slim that Oppo can’t even fit in a regular 3.5mm audio jack instead, you’ll need a USB adapter for that. It’s powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core 64-bit processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. It comes with a 5.2” Full HD 1080p AMOLED display with a pixel density of 423ppi. To avoid from overheating, it is equipped with what Oppo calls “Cool Element”, which uses phase-change material to dissipate heat from the device.
Other specs include 13MP Sony Exmor IMS214 sensor, 5MP front camera, 2000mAh built-in battery, LTE connectivity and runs on Android 4.4 out of the box with ColorOS 2.0.
