The Sony SmartBand Talk that was first unveiled in IFA 2014 is now available in Malaysia for a retail price of RM579. The Sony SmartBand Talk is similar to the SmartBand that was unveiled earlier this year, except that it now comes with an e-ink display and more powerful hardware on the inside.

The SmartBand Talk is powered by an ARM Cortex-M4 processor with 2GB of RAM on board. On top of tracking your physical activities using the company’s own Lifelog app (available for devices running on Android 4.4 and above), it now has a 1.4” e-ink display to show you the time and other information like your physical activities and allows you to make calls using the band itself, and an integrated microphone and speaker that allows you to make and take calls too.
Other specs include Bluetooth 4.0, 70mAh battery for up to three days of usage, IP68 waterproof, and accelerometer and altimeter sensors that can track your movements and even the number of steps you take on the stairs.
