Smartphones, smart TVs, smart wearables and even health related gadgets, it looks like Xiaomi is on a roll this year. The Chinese company has just taken the curtains off four smart home products namely a smart webcam, smart lightbulb, smart power plug and a smart remote center.
Posted onto the Xiaomi global Facebook page, these gadgets has just been released for beta testing todays and are aimed at transforming your home in an instant. No further information has been released regarding these new smart home gadgets. All we know that there are four new gadgets, namely:
- Ants smart webcam that can capture videos at 720p resolution, has a 111-degree wide-angle lens with 4x zoom, and supports 2-way voice calls
- Yeelight Smart Lightbulb that lets you change the colors of the bulb as you light, with the ability to adjust the brightness
- Mi Smart Power Plug is touted as the world’s smallest 3C safety certified multi-function power plug. You can remotely control it and most important of all, it has a USB interface too – I’ll take 10 please
- Mi Smart Remote center, a home system to control your TV, music player, air conditioner and more
This is definitely an exciting announcement from Xiaomi. With their very affordable prices on all the devices they have, your dreams of having a smart home might be in the near future. None of these gadgets are available at the moment, no information has been posted into the Xiaomi China’s website, but it’s definitely good to know what Xiaomi is working on. Now, let’s keep our fingers crossed that they will bring more Xiaomi gadgets here, I’ve personally been eying on the Mi TV 2 since the announcement.
