YTL Communications’ mobile broadband service Yes has announced that it is offering the Acer Iconia One 7 Super Postpaid Bundle Plan. Customers who subscribe to the plan will be given a free Intel powered Iconia One 7 tablet, in addition to all the regular benefits of subscribing to Yes broadband. The bundle is exclusive to all Yes Stores and Yes Exclusive Retail Partners nationwide.
This offer is a limited time deal beginning today; however, YTL Communications CEO Wing K Lee declined to provide a time frame for this offer to expire. It appears that this may be a first come, first served kind of deal; although there is really no way of knowing without inquiring at the stores. Which is possibly an intentional move on the part of the company.
Consumers who sign up with the bundle plan during this early bird promotion will receive a Huddle XS and the Iconia One 7 tablet for free. Although these customers will be locked into a 2-year contract for the broadband subscription.
The Acer Iconia One 7 is a 7-inch tablet running Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. It is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 processor, which puts it in the middle ground of processing power. However, it also features 16GB of storage with 1GB of RAM. Considering the retail price of RM399, this tablet isn’t a bad choice for the budget minded consumer.
