As teams are arriving in Seattle for the hotly anticipated annual “The International” tournament by Valve, Malaysia is fortunate enough to have 2 teams involved. After winning the Asian qualifiers, Arrow Gaming have won a place in the main event. And of course there’s Titan, who have been invited by Valve based on their performance last year under the Orange eSports banner.

So if you’re a South East Asian Dota 2 fan, you can beat the Monday blues by watching this heartwarming documentary where the the filmmaker follows the individuals of Titan around and finds out what makes them tick. You even get to see footage of them in China where ex team mates Mushi, IceIceIce and Chuan make a cameo.

Titan

From the Youtube Description:

“We all have the same dream, we just follow different roads.”

A heart-warming documentary about the veteran Dota players we all know and love, “Roads” follows the Titan team as they try to find themselves as a team amidst the pressure of competition brewing in the hustle and bustle of the Dota 2 professional scene. Through their reflections of the past, we follow the roads they chose that brought them to where they are today and uncover the roads they will choose to take in order to bring home the year’s grand prize: The International.

Written and directed by Raphael Yee.

While the camera work and editing is not of professional standard, Roads gives a very interesting insight into Titan and their preparation for TI4. It’s hard to dislike the team after this and while slow at first, I couldn’t keep my eyes off by the end. Let’s hope Titan or even Arrow Gaming can do well this year and put South East Asian Dota 2 on the map!
